Education

I got a BC in Applied Linguistics and Elementary Education, and worked as a school teacher before going back to school to earn a Physics and Computer Science degree! I´m finishing my third year!

Experience

I have been teaching and tutoring for over 10 years! I was tutoring math and second language while I studied my first degree in Spain( where I am from) and after completing it I was hired to work as an elementary teacher in USA! Now I am studying a second bachelor in Physics at UVic. I love science, but I miss teaching too much, so I would like to teach again, even if only part time. -------------------------------------------------- Experience: -3 years as Spanish, Math and LA elementary teacher in a dual immersion school (USA) -1 year as Spanish TA Skidmore College (USA) While still living in Spain: -6 years tutoring middle and high school, mainly Math and English, but including adults and elementary occasionally. -2 years as coordinator and/or leader in international and bilingual programs ----------------------------------------------------- Regarding Math and Physics: I spent the whole four years of my first degree tutoring math for high school and middle school. I used to have a hard time understanding math while growing up, I was not a book learner. This made me very good at explaining math to others. Many math teachers have always understood math intuitively, so they don´t know how to explain it. Well, I do. I have been there. I know what will confuse you and why, and I can help you get around it in baby steps until it all makes sense for you too! Regrading SL: I have been specifically trained to teach a second language, that is the focuss of my first degree. You are in good hands.

I enjoy star gazing, photography, and astro-photography; they got me interested in physics in the first place. I also enjoy art, languages and traveling. I got an interest in learning second languages through my interest in traveling around the world.
